GiveStream is an employee-directed giving program that aims to turn traditional corporate philanthropy on its head. To do this, the company developed a proprietary, cloud-based software that connects employees with more than 1 million IRS-approved 501 (c)(3) charities around the globe. Its easy-to-use interface, accessible via any mobile device, empowers employees to distribute corporate charitable funds to causes they are passionate about, contributing to boosted morale and productivity companywide.
Initially, however, the company had some difficulty articulating the purpose of its software. IMPACT Marketing & Public Relations was called in to help.
Prior to IMPACT’s involvement, GiveStream had been operating under the name Innovative Corporate Charitable Solutions, while referring to its employee giving software as Corporations4Communities.
IMPACT immediately expressed the need for a new identity that would not only encapsulate both company and product, but would also place primary emphasis on the charitable nature of the project.
An entire rebranding followed, from GiveStream’s logo onward. A new tagline was developed – “Employee-directed corporate giving” – that succinctly defined GiveStream’s role in the marketplace.
IMPACT also assisted with testing of the software, engaging regional companies and their employees, and encouraging them to share their giving experiences with GiveStream via social media.
The response was nothing short of phenomenal – tallying a 92% participation rate amongst three different companies, and spotlighting GiveStream’s incredible potential.
Now that rebranding is complete, IMPACT and GiveStream are preparing for a full-scale marketing launch in 2017, incorporating a brand new social media presence, a quarterly newsletter, and much more.
