Founded in 1959, KBE Building Corporation has swiftly grown into a $300 million commercial construction firm serving clients throughout the Eastern and Mid-Atlantic United States. From its regional offices in Farmington and Norwalk, CT, and Columbia, MD, the single-source builder provides preconstruction, construction management, design-build, and general contracting services to an esteemed list of clientele, including top corporations and institutes of higher learning.
Over the last two decades, KBE has managed more than $4 billion in construction projects, and is consistently ranked one of Engineering News-Record Magazine’s top 400 construction companies.
IMPACT Marketing and Public Relations helped to cement that distinction.
The Goal
IMPACT began working with KBE in 2009. While our initial involvement was relegated to KBE’s Maryland office, in 2010 our team began handling public relations for the organization nationwide.
Early emphasis was placed on public relations and refining the commercial builder’s image, as we helped extol the virtues of KBE’s vast experience and deep-rooted community involvement. A website redesign spotlighted KBE’s corporate attributes and commitment to interpersonal relationships.
Additionally, the IMPACT team spearheaded KBE’s SPECS (Students Participating and Experiencing Construction Sites) program, which provided practical, onsite experience to college students studying construction management and engineering, furthering the firm’s reputation as a corporate philanthropist.
The Latest
Throughout the years, IMPACT has played an integral role in KBE’s 50 Ways to Make a Difference charitable giving program, which has contributed more than $1.7 million and almost 12,000 volunteer hours to causes benefiting children, seniors, and military vets in Connecticut and Maryland.
As part of the 50 Ways initiative, KBE is busy prepping its signature philanthropic event, the Gift of Gobble, which prepares and delivers more than 200 Thanksgiving feasts to those in need.
